FRIDGE CITY is a collaborative world-building story project aimed at key stages 2 and 3.
Using the beginning of a story, groups work across art forms to generate characters, locations, creative writing and dramatic scenes to bring the world to life and make the story their own.
I have run this project in multiple schools independently as well as in collaboration with Sandwell Libraries and supported by Arts Council England where we held celebration events in library spaces with secondary school groups across the borough.
For more info and to discuss running the project with your class or group, get in touch via the contact page!
“The sessions encouraged creativity and teamwork and a purposeful and engaging environment was established. It was lovely to look around the room and see every pupil enjoying the experience”
Marcie has to baby sit her younger brother Marlon again.
More interested in gaming, she sends him off to hide with his imaginary friend Roni and says she’ll come and find them.
When she gets caught up in her game and forgets about Marlon, she realises he’s nowhere to be found.
Then she receives a message…
“It was just incredible! Steven helped the young people bring a whole world to life”
